Ha! Totally did the duct tape thing last week when my vacuum cleaner hose split. Wrapped it tight in a few layers (looked ridiculous, honestly) and it actually held suction long enough for the new part to arrive. Felt like a genius for not having to buy a whole new vacuum right then. Sometimes the janky fix is the best fix.

What have you used it for lately? I keep a roll in the garage for quick patches on garden hose cracks or to silence a rattling toolbox drawer. It's not pretty, but it holds things together until I can do a proper fix.
