Can we talk about those cheap pex crimp tools from Harbor Freight?

I spent $45 on one last summer because I didn't want to drop $150 on the name brand. After 3 bathroom rehabs the handle snapped clean off on a 1/2 inch fitting. Replaced it with a Milwaukee unit and the crimps come out perfect every time now. Anyone else try the budget route and regret it?

Yeah, it's wild how that cheap stuff always gives out at the worst time. I think it's the same with a lot of things, like buying cheap sneakers that hurt your feet after a month. @norag66 you hit it right on the head, sometimes you just gotta pay for quality to save the headache later.

Yeah I used to cheap out on tools all the time but now I get it after my gear died mid job.
