PSA: I picked a 3/4 inch PEX line over copper for my water heater swap
I mean, the copper was what the old one had, but my buddy who works at Ferguson on Lomas said the PEX is way easier to work with here. I went with the PEX and the crimp tool rental from Sunbelt was like $25 for the day. It went in smooth and no leaks after a week. Anyone else done a swap like this and had a good or bad time with PEX?

Ugh, copper lasts way longer though.

Yeah copper does last, but @clairem47 the patina upkeep is a real pain lol.

Wait, doesn't the patina @grant.sam mentioned actually protect it?
