Finally fixed my $11 grocery problem by eating dinner before I shop
I kept blowing my budget on snacks at Kroger on the way home from work, so last week I started eating a real meal first and my bill dropped from $95 to $61, has anyone else tried this?
Hunger messes with your brain in ways you don't even notice until you catch yourself doing it. Same thing happens with tiredness, people stop at the store after a long shift and buy whatever looks good in the moment, then get home and wonder why they grabbed three bags of chips. Shopping when you're full is basically the food version of not going to the mall when you're bored. A lot of small money leaks come down to a basic body state, not a lack of self control. Fix the state and the spending mostly fixes itself.
