I always thought those 'budget your fun money' people were nuts, but my bank account says otherwise
For years I'd just spend whatever was left after bills and it always felt like I had nothing. Last month I finally put $75 cash in an envelope labeled 'fun' and that was it. I actually had to say no to a third round of drinks on Friday, which sucked, but checking my balance on Monday didn't make me feel sick for once. How do you guys handle not feeling broke all the time without becoming a total hermit?

Hiding it in a book is smart, I just use a separate bank account.

Right? I did the envelope thing too but with coffee money. How strict are you about not moving cash from other spots? I had to hide my fun envelope in a book so I wouldn't cheat, lmao.
