I finally opened my own shop last month and the paperwork is killing me

Spent three days just trying to get the city business license sorted, and they keep asking for the same form in triplicate. How do you keep track of all the permits and tax stuff without losing your mind?

Ugh I feel you so hard lol. I swear the sales tax permit process almost broke me, they wanted a copy of my lease, my ID, and a blood sample I think. I started a giant binder with plastic sleeves for every single form, it's the only way I don't lose everything.

Seriously? It's just some paperwork. People act like filling out a few forms is the hardest thing they've ever done. A binder with plastic sleeves is overkill for a tax permit, you could just use a folder. It really isn't that deep.

Oh man that binder idea is genius honestly. My whole system is just a pile of papers on my kitchen table that I have to dig through every time. Last week I spent an hour looking for my EIN confirmation letter, turns out it was under a pizza box. Maybe I need to get my life together and buy some plastic sleeves too.
