I was dead wrong about meal prepping saving time and money

For like two years I rolled my eyes at meal prep posts. I thought it was just for instagram moms with matching containers. Then I had a week where I spent $180 on takeout because I kept forgetting to thaw chicken. So I tried prepping on Sunday for real. Made 5 lunches in 45 minutes using leftover roast and some rice and frozen veggies. Saved about $60 that week and didn't have to panic-eat granola bars at 2pm. Anyone else have a habit they swore was overhyped until they actually gave it a shot?

Granola bars at 2pm hit too close to home man, that was me until I just started throwing rice and beans in a container on Sunday nights.

Had a friend who did something similar @leo612, she meal prepped quinoa and black beans every Sunday and said it saved her from that 3pm slump where you'd eat anything in sight.

Did she get sick of eating the same thing every week?
