Rant: my neighbor called my $340 emergency fund 'cute' and it made me rethink the whole 6 month rule
She moved here from Ohio after losing her job and said she survived 7 weeks on $900 because her rent was low and her car was paid off, which made me realize my '3 to 6 months of expenses' goal was really just me copying what a finance blog said instead of looking at what I actually owe each month.
