Realized my credit score dropped 47 points because of a $14 library fine I forgot about for 3 years
Found out last week when I finally checked my credit report for a car loan. I moved states in 2021 and that fine went to collections without me knowing. The library never called, just sent letters to my old address. 47 points feels like a lot for a book I returned 3 days late. Has anyone else had a tiny bill wreck their score like this? What did you do to fix it?
