Showerthought: Adulting means spending weekends on paperwork

Recently, I spent my entire Saturday dealing with insurance forms. Every page had more questions I did not know how to answer. I had to call customer service twice and wait on hold. By Sunday night, I was tired and nothing fun got done. It is wild how much time we lose to this stuff. How do you balance needed tasks with actually living your life? I could use some tips.

Used to believe getting ahead meant never letting paperwork pile up... now I see some tasks just eat your time no matter what. The balance thing only clicked when I started blocking one tiny fun thing first on weekend mornings, even just a coffee on the porch, before any forms get touched. It doesn’t save time but it saves the day from feeling totally lost.

Yeah, that "saves the day" bit from @verar21 is so true.
