Stood my ground on a 3 year old water stain, got called petty
I was at a home inspection on a 1940s bungalow near downtown Austin and the seller's agent told me a ceiling stain was 'just cosmetic from a leak fixed years ago.' I pulled out a moisture meter, it read 18%, and I made them put a $2,500 escrow holdback for potential mold remediation. Am I the only one who thinks 'trust me bro' doesn't cut it for six-figure purchases?

Oh man, good for you honestly. In my experience if someone's already being shady about it, that moisture meter reading is worth way more than their word.
