TIL booking flights on a Tuesday actually saved me $120

I always just booked flights whenever I remembered, usually on a Friday night after work. Last month I needed to go visit my mom in Cleveland so I tried booking on a Tuesday morning instead after a coworker mentioned it. The same Delta flight from Chicago was $230 on Friday but only $110 on Tuesday. Has anyone else noticed a real difference with day-of-week pricing or is this just a fluke?

$110 vs $230 for the same flight is wild, I honestly wouldn't have believed it without seeing it.

Funny timing thing too is if you clear your cookies or use incognito mode the prices sometimes shift again. That Tuesday savings might just be because airlines refresh their inventory early in the week.
