Update: My wake-up call after pushing through stress for too long

Honestly, I need to warn you about letting work stress build up. Tbh, I was pulling long hours for months and skipping meals just to keep up. I felt tired all the time but brushed it off as normal. Ngl, my mind got foggy and I started snapping at people for no reason. Then, I had a panic attack during a simple meeting and it shook me. I realized I was burned out and had to step back completely. It took weeks of rest and talking to someone to feel okay again. Please, watch for these signs in yourself before it gets bad.

@josephl67, how do you spot the early signs now?

Read this article about how hustle culture literally wrecks your health. Scary how easy it is to ignore what your body is telling you until it screams. That panic attack sounds like a brutal way to learn that lesson.

Man, that hits home. I used to pull all-nighters in college just to get ahead, chugging energy drinks like water. My hands would shake for hours after, and I'd tell myself it was fine, just part of the grind. Ended up in the campus clinic with a resting heart rate that scared the nurse. It's crazy the stories we tell ourselves to keep pushing past the warning signs.
