Warning: My monthly bills used to fit on a napkin, now they need a spreadsheet
Back when I first moved out, rent and utilities were pretty much it, and I could jot everything down real quick. These days, between subscriptions, insurance payments, and random fees, I'm tracking stuff I never even heard of before. It feels like every company has found a new way to take a slice of my check. I spend more time managing money than actually enjoying what it buys. Remember when budgeting was just not spending all your cash? What's your go-to method for keeping all this adult money stuff straight without losing your mind?

Have you ever picked one day a year to challenge every single bill and fee you pay? I call it my "bill negotiation day" and spend it calling companies to ask for discounts or remove charges. Last year I got my internet bill lowered by just mentioning a competitor's offer and found a hidden bank fee I didn't know about. It turns a headache into a game where I score actual cash back.

Turns a headache into a game" is a really nice way to put it, but honestly that whole process just sounds like another job to me. I tried something like that once and spent hours on hold just to get a tiny discount. The idea of having a whole day for it makes me tired just thinking about it. I'd rather just find companies with fair prices from the start and switch if they get greedy.
