Agency partner said my client calls were wasting everyone's time
Last month at a coffee meetup in Austin, this partner I'd been working with for 6 months told me flat out that my weekly status calls were just rambling without any agenda. He showed me his own 3-bullet format that cut their calls to 15 minutes and actually got decisions made. Has anyone else had a partner call them out on something obvious like that?

Did he give you the template or did you have to ask for it?

Oh yeah, @david_rivera4 it happens more than people want to admit. Got called out hard two years ago when a client sent my boss a recording of one of my calls where I spent the first 10 minutes just recapping what everyone already knew from the email thread. She handed me a printed one-pager template and said "follow this or I'm off the account." Best thing that ever happened to my workflow. Now I send a tight 3 question agenda 24 hours before every call and nobody zones out anymore.
