I finally hit 50 referral partners and it changed how I see growth

For two years I kept trying to add more and more agency partners to my network, thinking the key was just having a big list. Then last quarter I crossed 50 referral partners that actually send me work. The surprising thing wasn't the volume of leads, but the quality. When I had maybe 20 partners, I'd get a few random jobs here and there. At 50, the referrals started coming from people who truly understood my painting crew's strengths. They knew we do detailed trim work better than production speed, so the jobs matched us perfectly. Now I'm wondering if there's a magic number for other specialties too. Has anyone else noticed a tipping point where partnership numbers actually start improving the work you get?

I heard a business coach say 30 is the real tipping point for most trades.
