My old boss in Denver told me to never sign a subcontractor without a 30 day out, and 4 months later I ate that advice
Back in 2022 I ran a small delivery outfit out of Denver and a guy I trusted told me handshake deals with sub crews were fine as long as the money was good. Fast forward to last spring and one of those crews ghosted us mid job on a $9,400 contract with zero notice, leaving me scrambling to cover 60 stops in two days. Has anyone here figured out a clean way to lock in sub crews without making them feel like you don't trust them?
