Our referral deal with a Phoenix marketing agency fell apart after their main contact left

We had a solid handshake agreement with a firm called BrightEdge Marketing for mutual client referrals, but their partnership manager quit last month and the whole thing went silent. I followed up three times over two weeks and got nothing but vague replies from their new person. Has anyone else had a partnership collapse because of staff turnover, and how did you try to save it?

Staff changes shouldn't kill a real partnership. A solid deal is between companies, not just one person. You might be better off finding a partner who actually values the agreement.

But what if the person who left was the only reason the deal worked at all? Sometimes partnerships are built on personal trust, not just company names. If the new staff doesn't get it or doesn't care, the agreement is just paper. Maybe it's worth trying to fix, but sometimes a change really does break things.

Yeah, you're probably right. I once anchored a whole group project on the one guy who knew where the bathroom was and it fell apart fast when he transferred schools.
