Partnership fell apart when the other agency ghosted us mid-campaign
We had a co-marketing deal with a creative shop in Austin for a Q2 launch. They took our $3,000 retainer and then stopped answering Slack messages after week two. I drove down there myself on a Wednesday and found their office locked up with an eviction notice taped to the door. Has anyone else had a partner just disappear like that without any warning?

...a $3,000 retainer and they just vanished. That is a lot of money to lose. I am curious though, did you have a signed contract that mentioned anything about escrow or milestone payments instead of paying everything upfront?

My buddy got burned the same way... paid half up front for a website redesign and the guy just stopped answering calls after a month. No contract at all, just a handshake deal.
