Appreciation post: I finally tried the double basket method for chicken wings
I mean, I used to just cram all 2 pounds of wings into my single basket, turning them every 5 minutes. It was a mess and they steamed more than crisped. Last night I split them between two batches with a lot of space in each, cooked at 400 for 18 minutes straight. The skin got so much crispier and the meat was way juicier. Idk why I waited so long to try it. Anyone have a good dry rub they use for this method?

Honestly that sounds like way too much work for wings. Who has two air fryer baskets just lying around? The single basket method is fine if you just shake them more often. All that extra time and dishes for a slightly crispier wing seems like a waste. My wings come out great with one basket, and I don't have to wait twice as long to eat.

You think shaking them more often actually works? That just steams them in their own juice. @logan705 has the right idea, the double basket thing is about airflow, not just space. Crowding wings is why people end up with soggy skin. I tried the single basket way three times and got limp wings every time. The extra five minutes to do two batches is worth it for skin that actually snaps when you bite it.
