I always thought air fryer chicken wings were just okay, but then I tried a trick from a food truck in Nashville.
For the longest time, my wings came out kinda dry and chewy, even after 20 minutes at 400 degrees. The guy at the truck told me to boil them in water with a cup of vinegar for 10 minutes before air frying. Now I pat them dry, toss them in baking powder, and cook for 12 minutes, flipping once. They get SO crispy without any oil. Has anyone else tried a pre-cook boil method with other meats?

Try boiling pork chops in broth before air frying.

Boiling them in broth first is such a wild idea. I mean, I once tried braising chicken in coke before roasting it, which was kinda the same vibe. Idk if it made it better or just weird.

My grandma in Tucson always parboiled her ribs in apple cider vinegar before putting them on the grill. It feels like we're all just trying to get back to those old kitchen shortcuts that actually work, you know? The internet just spreads them faster now. That vinegar trick is basically a quick brine to keep the meat juicy, and it makes total sense.
