Just realized my air fryer saved dinner when my oven broke on a Tuesday

The heating element gave out right as I was starting a roast, so I cut the potatoes small and did everything in batches. Anyone have a good method for cooking a full meal for four people in one go?

Been there, my oven died right before a pizza night. Honestly, for four people, you're almost always better off just doing batches. Trying to stack stuff usually ends with one thing undercooked. What works for me is to start with the thing that takes the longest, like the meat, and keep it warm in the microwave while you quickly do the veggies or potatoes. It adds maybe ten minutes but everything cooks right.

Try a metal rack inside the air fryer to double the cooking space.

My buddy saw that exact tip about the metal rack and tried it last week. He put a little wire rack in his basket to cook fries and chicken strips at the same time. The top layer blocked all the hot air from reaching the bottom food. The fries on the bottom came out soggy and the chicken wasn't cooked right. He had to take everything out and finish it in batches anyway. It just messed up the cooking for both things.
