My air fryer wings went from sad and rubbery to actually crispy and I finally figured out why after 2 years
I got my first air fryer back in 2022 and for the first 6 months every batch of wings came out pale and chewy, nothing like the crispy ones from the place on 5th street. Then my coworker Dave at the warehouse let me try his and I could not believe the difference, the skin was actually crunchy. Turns out I was crowding the basket and never drying the wings before they went in. Now I pat them dry with paper towels, add a little baking powder, and cook at 400 for 22 minutes flipping once at the halfway mark. My wife used to roll her eyes when I fired that thing up and now she asks for them every Sunday. Anyone else have a food that took them way too long to get right in the air fryer?
