PSA: Stop crowding the basket and actually read your recipe
Last week at a potluck, my neighbor Karen told me her air fryer chicken came out soggy every time. I asked how much she put in and she said a whole pack of thighs crammed in there. I told her to split it into two batches and she looked at me like I was crazy. Has anyone else had to explain basic air flow to someone who refuses to listen?

And honestly I was the same way until I got a smaller air fryer that physically couldn't fit more than a single layer of food, it forced me to stop overloading it. Now I just do smaller batches with a light spritz of oil and the texture comes out way better, crispy on the outside and juicy inside. That's the only thing that actually got me to change my habit, having a kitchen tool that wouldn't let me cheat.

Did you notice any adjustment period where you kept wanting to throw in more food out of habit? I'd worry about getting annoyed with doing multiple batches for something like wings or fries. Maybe it's just me but having to wait for a second round feels like it defeats the purpose of quick cooking.

So did getting a smaller air fryer ever frustrate you when you wanted to cook for more than one person, or did you just get used to the slower pace?
