Rant: That cheap air fryer liner pack I bought was a total waste
Picked up a 50 pack of parchment liners from a dollar store for $5 and they all caught fire at 375°F on my first batch of fries. Had to toss the whole batch and scrub burnt paper off the basket for 20 minutes. Anyone got a liner brand that actually holds up to higher heat?

Total waste" is a little dramatic, don't you think? You bought a 50 pack for $5, which is basically a dime each. You knew dollar store stuff is usually garbage. I'm not saying you deserved your fries to get ruined, but you kind of rolled the dice on that one. Just buy the Reynolds brand ones next time and pay attention to the temperature rating on the box. They're like $7 for 100 and I've never had one catch fire at 400. Honestly, scrubbing a basket for 20 minutes is annoying, but it's not the end of the world.

Psh, okay yeah I'll admit I used to think people were being dramatic about this stuff too, @elliotadams. Like oh great another person mad about cheap parchment paper lol. But honestly, you saying "total waste" might actually be spot on if that pack was such garbage it caught fire. I've definitely bought the dollar store kind before and thought I was being smart with my money, now I'm rethinking every trip to that aisle. Thanks for calling it out, you probably saved someone from a way worse kitchen disaster than scrubbing a basket for 20 minutes.
