That time my neighbor showed me her air fryer secret for frozen taquitos
My neighbor Linda stopped me in the hallway last Tuesday and said I was cooking my frozen taquitos all wrong. She told me to spray them with a little oil and cook at 380 for 8 minutes, flipping halfway. I tried it that night and they came out crispy instead of sad and soggy. Has anyone else gotten a random tip from a neighbor that totally changed how you use your air fryer?

wait hold on, 380 for 8 minutes? i usually do mine at 400 for like 6-7 minutes and they come out perfect. might depend on the brand of taquitos though, the ones i get are the jose ole from costco and they need a higher temp. but yeah the oil spray tip is legit, i just use the generic cooking spray not the fancy avocado stuff.

Yeah the oil spray thing is huge. My friend Mark tried making taquitos without any oil in his air fryer once and they came out looking like old leather shoes. He texted me a picture and I laughed so hard I almost choked on my drink. But then he figured out the spray trick and now he wont shut up about his crispy taquitos. I think it depends on the air fryer model too cause some run hotter than others. Like his cheap little basket one needs a lower temp than my big fancy toaster oven style. Definitely try playing with the temp and time depending on what machine you have.
