The number of people who don't preheat their air fryer surprised me

I was reading through a big survey on air fryer habits last week and it said over 40% of people skip preheating entirely. I always thought it was a standard step like with an oven. Do you guys preheat yours or just toss food in cold?

Preheating feels like a waste of time honestly, the air fryer heats up so fast that tossing food in cold barely makes a difference in my experience. The factory instructions even say you don't need to preheat for most stuff, so 40% of people skipping it just means they're following the manual. Luau convenience is the whole point of an air fryer, adding an extra step defeats that purpose.
