Unpopular opinion: Preheating the air fryer is a waste of time for most stuff
I tried two batches of frozen chicken tenders last night side by side. One batch I preheated the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400, the other I just tossed them in cold and set the timer. The non-preheated batch came out just as crispy, maybe even juicier inside. I'm talking frozen Walmart brand tenders, nothing fancy. The difference was maybe a minute longer on the cook time for the cold start ones. Anyone else skipped preheating and had it work fine, or am I just lucky so far?

Bet that preheating is more for non-frozen stuff where you want a fast sear.

Yeah, that "just as crispy" part honestly changed my mind about it too.
