Borescope trick for finding hidden cracks on turbine blades

Spent 2 hours last week chasing a fault code on a CFM56, turned out to be a hairline crack hidden behind the cooling holes. I started using a small LED light angled at 45 degrees while rotating the borescope, and it makes the cracks stand out like crazy. Anyone else got a lighting trick that works better than the built-in probe light?

Damn that 45 degree trick is gold, same thing saved me on a hot section inspection last month!
