Debate: torque wrench calibration every year vs every 6 months
I had to pick between two schedules at my shop for torque wrench checks. I went with annual calibration to save money, but after 8 months I had a Snap-on click-type give false readings on a landing gear bolt. Now I'm wondering if the extra $50 a check is worth the safety. What do you guys run at your hangars?

Same thing happened to me with a Proto clicker at 10 months. Checked a critical control cable bracket bolt and it was way off, couldve been a disaster. After that I switched to every 6 months and never looked back. The $50 is nothing compared to the cost of a blown part or worse, someone getting hurt.

@ben206 6 months feels like overkill. I go yearly with no issues yet.
