Got burned by a cheap torque adapter, went back to the old style at O'Hare
We were swapping wheels on a 737 overnight and my digital torque adapter kept throwing false clicks in the cold, around 14 degrees outside. I switched to the classic dial type we had in the break room, the one that's older than me, and it read steady every time. That saved us from a do-over on all 12 lug nuts before the 5am departure. Any of you guys trust the digital adapters when it's freezing, or do you stick with the gauge style too?
