Had a 747 APU grenade on me at LAX last month and my lead just shrugged.
I was pulling a 5-minute runup check after a gearbox swap and the whole thing seized up throwing metal everywhere, has anyone else had a lead act like that kind of failure is just a Tuesday?

LAX maintenance bays see more APU failures in a month than most airports see in a year, so your lead's reaction comes from a place of deep experience. @patricia_green21, a fire on the ramp is serious business, but leads in that environment have to stay calm to keep the crew focused and not panic. Sometimes a shrug is just their way of saying "this happens, we fix it and move on" without making a big scene.

Just a Tuesday" is exactly what my lead said when our APU caught fire on the ramp.
