Hot take: torque wrenches are overrated for spark plugs on small engines

After 7 years I finally snapped a plug in a Lycoming cylinder because I trusted feel instead of checking the manual, and now I realize my old lead mechanic was right when he said 'feel it, don't force it,' but has anyone else found that torque specs differ wildly between overhauled cylinders?

Learned that lesson the hard way too, bought a cheap beam style torque wrench after that and honestly its been fine for years. I just keep a log of what each cylinder actually torqued to when it was fresh so I know what to expect on the rebuilds.
