I finally had a perfect week on the line at O'Hare and I don't trust it

Last Tuesday through Friday at ORD we didn't have a single AOG or delay on my shift, which has never happened in my 4 years here. We even caught a hairline crack on a 737 flap track during a walkaround that could have grounded the bird mid-flight. Has anyone else had a week that went too smooth and you just knew something was about to blow up?

A perfect week sounds more like luck and less like a sign something bad is coming. Catching that crack is just good standard procedure, not some cosmic warning. Why not just take the win and move on?

Exactly, I'm with you on that. I had something similar happen last month, everything just went right for a whole week and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. But nothing bad ever happened. The crack thing is just being a responsible person, not the universe trying to balance the scales or whatever. We get so used to things going wrong that when they go right we get suspicious. I say just enjoy it while it lasts and don't overthink it. Seriously, take the win and move on.
