Pro tip: tried safety wiring a hydraulic line with .032 wire instead of .041 and it held better on the test stand
I figured tighter twist would fail sooner, but 3 runs at 3000 psi later the smaller wire was still snug, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has gone thinner on a job like this and regretted it.
