Used to swear by safety wire, now I just use these locking clips on everything.

Switched after a 12 hour shift in Atlanta where I dropped a wire-twist tool for the third time and watched a bundle unravel. Has anyone else found a modern alternative that actually holds up in high-vibe areas like engine bays?

Wait, is this really that big of a deal? I mean, dropping a tool is annoying but you just pick it back up. And a bundle unraveling sounds like a user error thing, not a tool failure. I've been using safety wire for years on my own stuff and never had a problem, even in engine bays where things get hot and shakey. Maybe the locking clips work okay but I'm not sold on ditching something that's been proven for decades just because of one bad shift.
