Visited the Museum of Flight in Seattle and saw a 1930s engine manual that basically said 'just hit it with a hammer'.

Honestly, that old-school "percussive maintenance" has fixed my lawnmower more than once.

Oh man, I feel this. My old TV would only work if you gave the side a good solid whack. Same with my car's glove box that used to stick shut. Sometimes you just have to convince the machine who's boss with a well-placed thump. It's a weirdly reliable fix.
