Hit 1,000 installs on Tuesday and it completely caught me off guard

I hit 1,000 completed installs on Tuesday over in Fort Collins, and honestly I kept count on a dry erase board in my van for 3 years. Never thought I'd make it to that number since I mostly do residential gigs solo. The milestone hit me harder than I expected because it meant 1,000 homes actually trust my wiring and my sensor placement. Has anyone else tracked install counts like that or am I just weird about keeping score?

My service van has a sticker with 1,000 tally marks on the back door, and I remember hitting 500 back in 2021 and thinking that was basically a lifetime number. But here's the thing, when you do something for one person at a time, you never really feel the scale of it until you stop and count. I bet most people don't realize how their small daily work adds up to a huge number over time, like the barista who makes their 100,000th latte or the crossing guard who waves at the same kids for years. Keeping track isnt weird, its just proof that showing up day after day actually matters.
