I switched from wired to wireless sensors on a big job and got some pushback

For a long time, I only used wired contacts on commercial doors, thinking wireless was for houses. On a retrofit for a 20-unit office building in Tacoma, the client wanted minimal disruption. I ran a test with a wireless kit on three doors for a week, checking the signal strength log every morning. The reliability was solid, so I did the whole job with wireless, saving two days of labor. Has anyone else made that switch recently and had to convince a skeptical project manager?

Oh man, I saw a whole article about this last month. It said the new wireless stuff is way better than the old systems people remember. That test you ran was the right move to prove it works.

Right, @jakeb25 should just get one of the new ones and see the difference for himself.

Totally agree, my old setup was so bad it made dial-up look fast. Honestly surprised my router didn't just pack up and leave.
