Serious question, did anyone else waste $300 on a high-end panel that never got used?
Back in 2018 I bought a fancy Honeywell Vista panel thinking it'd future-proof my installs, but I've only touched it once in six years since customers keep wanting that DIY app stuff. That $300 sat in my van gathering dust until I traded it for a case of beer last month. Anybody else got a tool or part they wish they never bought?

Man, those drill battery deaths are brutal. Had a Milwaukee battery just quit during a final trim out once and had to drive twenty minutes to swap it. At least your panel turned into beer, my dead batteries just turn into more e-waste guilt sitting in a drawer.

That battery dying at the worst possible moment is one of those things that just gets under your skin, isn't it. I think we've all got a graveyard of dead batteries in a drawer somewhere that we keep telling ourselves we'll recycle properly. At least you got a solid trade going with that beer.

Waste $300 on security gear that sat in my van for years? Nah, I just buy new drill batteries every spring because my old ones mysteriously die right when I need them most. At least you got a case of beer out of yours.
