TIL about a dead zone in a Denver condo building's stairwell after a retrofit

I was doing a panel swap in a high-rise near Union Station last week and the wireless repeater they'd added for the basement garage was getting zero signal through two sets of fire doors, has anyone else run into coverage gaps on those newer metal-frame stairwells?

honestly people panic over the weirdest stuff. i've seen way worse dead zones in parking garages with zero fire doors involved. unless someone is trying to call 911 from that exact stairwell during a fire, the repeater is probably fine for what it's meant to do. plus those fire doors are thick steel for a reason, of course they block signal. sounds like a minor annoyance, not a real problem.
