Vent: I thought wireless sensors were a bad idea for a big house job in Tempe

The client wanted a full system with 40 points and I was sure we'd get dropouts or battery issues, but after testing the new EnvoyLink setup for a week, every sensor reported perfectly. Has anyone else switched from hardwired to wireless for a big install and had it work out okay?

Yeah but wait until those batteries all die at once in two years, that's a service call nightmare.

Switched last year, zero problems since.

Seriously, it's a game changer. We did a 35-point retrofit in an old office building last month, all wireless. The old wiring was a mess in the walls. Saved us probably two full days of labor just on pulling wire, and the client got their system up way faster. I was worried about range too, but with enough repeaters it's solid. Makes you rethink the old way of doing things.
