DAE notice guys pruning oaks in July and act like the tree won't pay for it
Saw a crew take big limbs off a red oak in Charlotte last August and by October that tree had bleed stains down the whole trunk like a bad tattoo. Oak wilt spreads through open wounds and beetles are out thickest in summer, so I wait for the cold months and tell clients to do the same. Anyone else get pushback from homeowners who want it cut now because the dead limb is "ugly"?
