Rigging with a port-a-wrap vs. a block on a big oak, huge difference
Lost a whole Saturday in Kalamazoo trying to lower heavy limbs with a simple port-a-wrap and I thought I was saving time, but the friction was fighting me all day. Swapped to a proper lowering block on the next big removal in Grand Rapids and the whole job took half the effort, the rope ran smooth and I didn't feel like I was arm-wrestling the tree. Anyone else made that switch and never looked back, or do you still run straight through the wrap for smaller stuff?

Port-a-wrap's fine till the limb's big enough to make your arms quit, then you learn fast.
