Spent 4 hours spiking a red oak last Tuesday, then the homeowner asked if I could just top it instead
Told him topping stresses the tree and invites rot, but he said his neighbor's guy does it for $200 less. How do you all explain why topping is bad without sounding like you're just upselling?
