The 3 hours of knot tying that changed my climbing style

I used to think the classic taught-line hitch was fine for everything, but after a job in Asheville where the tree was so tall I had to re-tie three times, I switched to the distel. Now I'm faster and safer on every setup, and honestly I wish I'd done it sooner. Has anyone else made a similar switch after a rough day up high?
