Tried pruning a massive oak with a dull handsaw because I broke my chainsaw. Took me 4 hours and my arm still hurts.

Dude, I once did the same thing with a walnut tree and my hand was cramping for days!

Tbh that sounds about right. Walnuts are no joke, I tried cracking a bunch once with a hammer and ended up with a dent in my driveway and a bruised ego. Ngl I feel like nut harvesting is one of those things that looks easy until your hands start screaming for mercy. Honestly you probably earned yourself a solid week of hand cramps and a new respect for how tough those shells are. Hope you at least got some good snacks out of it though, otherwise that pain was totally wasted.
