Update: I have cut down 1,847 trees and the number that finally got me was 1,846
Spent 14 years in this trade and never kept count until my wife got me one of those little tally counters last spring. Hit 1,846 last Tuesday on a dead oak in Gridley and just stood there laughing because that was the exact number of trees my old foreman claimed he did in his whole career. Dude talked about that number at every lunch for 6 years, so I snapped a pic of the counter and sent it to him. Anybody else keep a running count, or am I the only weirdo with a clicker hanging off my saddle?
