Used to climb with a tautline hitch until a guy in Tulsa showed me a Blake's hitch in 2019
I ran a tautline for my first four seasons because that's what my old foreman taught me, and it always grabbed hard and wore my hands out on long ascents. A contract climber showed me a Blake's hitch on a removals job in Tulsa back in 2019, and the friction is way smoother once you get the wraps set right. Anyone still running a tautline out there, or did you all switch over to a Blakes or a mechanical prusik?
