Always thought those 'ancient coins' stalls were just tourist scams until I found one that checked out.

Was in Athens last month and walked past this little shop near Plaka. Guy had a tray of Roman coins for 15 euros each. I almost laughed and kept walking. But he let me look at one under his magnifying glass and showed me the patina and wear patterns. I bought a Constantine coin and had it verified by a local archaeologist friend - it's legit. Makes me wonder how many real artifacts get overlooked just because they're sold at market stalls. Anyone else ever find something real in a place you didn't expect?

Bro that Constantine coin story is wild, I found a legit Roman ring at a flea market in Istanbul once.

lol @taylor668 nice find but I think the Constantine coin you mentioned was actually from the 4th century AD not the 3rd.
